Randy Orton Injury:

Michael Cole reportedly announced Orton will not participate in Sunday's festivities alongside Dean Ambrose during this week's Monday Night Raw broadcast after being injured by The Wyatt Family (h/t WrestlingNews.co).

According to Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, Orton suffered a dislocated shoulder, and "the extent of the injury is not yet certain pending the results of an MRI, and when he can return will be determined on whether if he needs or doesn't need surgery."

Meltzer added that Orton has dealt with recurring shoulder injuries throughout the course of his career.

While the injury is a blow to Orton's short-term prospects, it's also a downer as Sunday's pay-per-view approaches.

According to Meltzer, Orton's injury has forced WWE to cancel the showdown that would have pitted Luke Harper and Braun Strowman against Orton and Ambrose. A six-man tag team match will reportedly take its place.
