The Mex-American Storyline. Are The WWE Creating A Stable? If So, Who Should Join?

As mentioned on last week's Smackdown, Alberto Del Rio is renaming the United States Championship Belt to the Mex-American Championship Belt. Zeb Colter and Del Rio cut promos on Mex-America, Del Rio said the US Title is a divisive name as it should represent the people of America and Mexico. Zeb declared the title will represent all of Mex-America and Del Rio announced that the title will now be called the Mex-America Championship.

It seems WWE are following through with this storyline, although this is not the first time a wrestler has renamed the US title. 15 years ago, Lance Storm renamed the WCW United States Championship Title Belt to the Canadian Championship.

At the time, Storm held three championships at once placing large stickers featuring the Canadian flag on each title belt. Storm would then give his titles to fellow Canadian wrestlers and he created a stable called Team Canada defending these titles against Americans. The storyline itself was great, though it never really came to fruition as WWE purchased WCW and the stable was disbanded immediately.

Are WWE possible trying to re-create this storyline with the Mexicans to fight against the Americans? Also, could it work? I think so. The Mex-American storyline could reach great heights, especially having the likes of Zeb Colter as the recruiter.

Zeb knows how to draw a ton of heat and could only add to this upcoming storyline by working with the Mexicans rather than his country men of America. The question is. Who would Zeb recruit for the Mexican stable? My picks would be Rey Mysterio, The Lucha Dragons Del Rio himself and possibly another return, Carlito.

The stable could run rough shot over the WWE talent until John Cena returns to create his own American Stable thus giving us the Mex-American feud. With the likes of Swagger Dolph Ziggler andRoman Reigns joining the American stable.

Whatever the outcome of this Mex-American storyline, i think this would be the best way to go. Please leave your thoughts below.

Thanks for reading.
